Ben Pinnington
Ben Pinnington was born on the Wirral. He is a director of Artemis Media and Public Affairs. He is a National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) trained and qualified newspaper reporter. He began his career working for the Whitehaven News before moving to the Chester Chronicle series. Ben was North West of England press officer for the Conservative Party at the 2001 general election. Between 2002 and 2003 he was a special adviser and speech writer in the Scottish Parliament. In 2004 he co-ordinated the media for the successful North West Says No and Yorkshire Says No campaigns against regional devolution while running his own PR firm Pinnington Media. Between 2004 and 2006 Ben ran the press office for national business pressure group the Forum of Private Business (FPB). Ben has acted as press officer to North West MEP David Sumberg since 2001. Ben studied politics at the University of Leicester and post praduate journalism at Cornwall College. In his spare time Ben enjoys golf, cricket, rugby, swimming, reading, music, writing, theatre, the countryside, travelling and spending time with family and friends.
Emma Parker-Goff
Emma Parker-Goff was born on the Wirral. Emma is a director of Artemis Media and Public Affairs. Emma began her career as a researcher for the Conservative Party, reviewing Conservative policy in the run-up to the 1998 local elections and 1999 Euro-elections. In 2000, Emma moved into corporate public relations and became a manager of the corporate and crisis department at Freud Communications, managing pan-European accounts for some of the world’s largest brands, including Pepsi, Nike, KFC, Tricon International and Confetti. Emma has extensive experience of event organisation, managing the high profile NikePark – an event for 40,000 children at Wembley Stadium. Emma lived and worked in Australia between 2001 and 2003. From 2003 – 2005, Emma was business development manager at Golley Slater, before launching her own business EPG Communicatons in London in 2005. Emma studied politics at the University of Bristol and studied at the Melbourne Business School.
